onTrack
Project created for D&AD Student Awards 2010 , Mobile Service Proposal for NOKIA
Collaborate w/ : Zhengxin Xi
TASK:
Help Nokia change the everyday world by creating a forward thinking and functional interactive mobile service that can make a real difference to the users personal or professional life.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
OnTrack is a mobile real-time location sharing service that allows users to reveal their GPS location to other users in their social network, or to anonymous devices nearby.
Users can see each other as avatars on the homepage of their mobile devices. Avatar statuses change dynamically based on traveling location, speed and shared calendar information, all of which facilitates a more instant and situated communication.
OnTrack is a user-generated search engine which indexes information such as location, texts and voicemails of its users and creates a searchable, anonymous knowledge base that can provide more efficient, specific and useful information to its users.
Credit must be given to Dustin York, Willis Liao and Mary Lam for their generous help and collaboration on the description editing. Also, many thanks to the stars of onTrack project and excellent actors: Dustin York, Sara Moore and Zhengxin Xi.
